Stability stables Strakka Racing's line-up for 2012

Since the middle of the 2009 season, Strakka Racing's regular driver line-up has been one of rising young talent, in the form of Nick Leventis, blended with the proven skill and experience of two-times BRDC McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the Year finalist Danny Watts. That squad is further enhanced in 2010 by the arrival of former British Formula 3 champion and multiple factory-retained sportscar driver Jonny Kane.

With a love of speed initially forged on the ski slopes, Nick Leventis transferred his natural talent and strong work ethic from competitive downhill skiing to the race track. After four years of hard graft and diligent testing, 2009 saw him competing against some of the best-known names in motorsport, and he's been loving it ever since.

While serious injury may have curtailed Nick's career on the slopes, his passion for motorsport has allowed him to channel his quick reactions and natural understanding of balance and poise into rapid progress through the ranks of talented young racing drivers. In just a handful of intense seasons, Nick has demonstrated extraordinary potential and established himself as a bright star in GT and endurance racing.

Like many of today's top drivers, Danny Watts started his career in karts before moving into single-seaters. Finishing third in the 2001 Formula Renault Championship was followed by his winning the BRDC Innes Ireland Trophy and two nominations as a finalist in the prestigious BRDC McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the Year award. In 2002 he duly won the Formula Renault title, earning a drive in F3 for 2003 and picking up the "Rookie of the Year" award.

Over the next few years Danny diversified, and whilst maintaining a presence in F3, he also tried his hand at GT and sportscars, culminating in his selection as works driver for Zytek Team LNT in 2007. The highlight of his 2008 season was to lead the Petit Le Mans ten-hour endurance in America, but he topped that on his debut with Strakka Racing by claiming pole, first time out in Barcelona. Undeniably fast and ultra-competitive, Danny is also a sympathetic driver, understanding the mechanics of his car and what makes it go faster.

Jonny Kane is no stranger to the competitive world of sportscar racing, and aside from his exemplary single-seater record, he has also been a factory driver for Audi, Team Bentley, MG, Aston Martin and Spyker, as well as a test driver in Formula 1. His talent in the cockpit is matched by a quick wit and silver tongue, and he has been a motorsport analyst with Sky Sports TV for almost ten years.

Between them, Nick, Danny and Jonny cover all the bases and must represent one of the strongest driver combinations in Le Mans racing worldwide.
